The product of Across Systems has several unique characteristics. To ideally optimize the processes for the provision and maintenance of the system and user environment, a new hosting solution had to be found. It was especially important for Across to gain rapid reaction times and more flexibility via the implementation of automation solutions. Further, a migration from Citrix to Microsoft was desired.

After the successful proof of concept, including performance test, an extensive conceptualization for the automation and standardization followed, through which the Across Systems GmbH was to gain more flexibility. Our focus were at all times the specific requirements of Across and the company’s goal to optimize processes for the provision and maintenance of the system and user environment.

A multi-client-capable terminal server solution with focus on customer isolation was implemented, through which several customers can work on the same terminal server. The multi-mandate capability guarantees that no customer is granted access to the data of another. In addition, the system provision was standardized, which made processes and systems coherent. Through the implementation of an automation solution, Across can now carry out standard tasks (such as the adding or deleting of customers or users) on its own without requiring domain admin rights.

As agreed with their customers, Across Systems had a short schedule for the implementation. To avoid a disruption of ongoing operations, the focus of the migration phase was placed specifically on securing the continuity of operations and reducing downtime as much as possible. Through tight, continuous communication and close collaboration with Across, it was possible to migrate the entire Across landscape in the scheduled time. We look back on a successful go live across several phases.

In close collaboration with the Across development division, the application-specific provisions are set to be improved and automated further in the future. Additional discussions, conceptualization, and realization at the highest technical level will take place.
